Shaping Conversations on Climate and Creativity at Chulalongkorn University

On March 26, the Creative Climate Fellowship team was invited to guest lecture at the Faculty of Communication Arts, Chulalongkorn University. We were hosted by the brilliant Dr. Pitipon Kitirattarkarn (Ajarn Gauze) and welcomed into a room full of curious, thoughtful, and globally minded students.
With the topic of The power of creative communication in tackling greenwashing and shaping meaningful narratives for climate action in Asia.
What We Shared
During the session, we introduced students to real-world examples of digital climate campaigns supported by Cuttlefish Digital and Love Frankie. We focused on how communications professionals can challenge misleading sustainability claims, expose corporate greenwashing, and advocate for real change.
We also broke down how storytelling, digital strategy, and campaign planning intersect in climate advocacy—and why young communicators have a unique role to play in moving the narrative forward.
Who Joined the Conversation
Representing the Creative Climate Fellowship were:
- Tom Ganderton – Managing Director, Cuttlefish Digital
- Cris Sto. Domingo – Program Manager, Cuttlefish Digital
- Tae Wattanawanitchakorn – Program Manager, Love Frankie
Their insights grounded the discussion in practical campaign experience—and sparked questions on narrative ethics, cross-sector collaboration, and the future of climate storytelling.
Why It Matters
Universities are fertile ground for fresh ideas and future changemakers. Engaging with students helps bridge the gap between academic learning and applied advocacy—something the Creative Climate Fellowship is deeply passionate about.
We're grateful to Ajarn Gauze and her students for welcoming us, and for the vibrant exchange of ideas and optimism.
