Join us on Wednesday, 20 August 2025 for a public, online masterclass led by documentary photographer Ore Huiying, hosted by the Creative Climate Fellowship as part of its public learning series.
Huiying will explore the craft of storytelling in the context of climate and social justice campaigns. Drawing from her work across Southeast Asia, she will reflect on how documentary reportage can strengthen climate communication by shaping stories that speak directly to specific audiences
About the Speaker
Ore Huiying is a Singapore-based documentary photographer whose work focuses on communities affected by development. Her photography has appeared in The New York Times, Bloomberg, The Washington Post, and Getty Images. She has exhibited across Asia and Europe, including at the Angkor Photo Festival and the Singapore National Gallery.
Huiying is a recipient of the National Geographic Explorer Grant and was selected for the World Press Photo 6x6 Global Talent Program. Her work is rooted in empathy, storytelling ethics, and the lived experiences behind broader social and environmental issues.
This session is open to the public as part of the Creative Climate Fellowship masterclass series. There is no cost for registered participants.
