This Earth Day, We Celebrate Youth Leading Climate Action
From digital storytelling to direct action, a new generation is redefining what climate advocacy and campaigning look like across Asia.
They’re not just responding to the crisis—they’re reimagining systems, speaking truth to power, and building solidarity across borders. Whether through visuals, protest signs, TikToks, or policy demands, these voices are urgent, strategic, and bold.
Creativity is a Climate Strategy
Across the region, we’re seeing young people take creative risks to get their message across. They’re forming fandom alliances, launching data-driven campaigns, remixing protest visuals, and challenging narratives that uphold climate injustice.
Their work doesn’t just inform—it inspires, mobilizes, and builds new cultural momentum for environmental change.
From the Ground to the Feed: Why Digital Voice Matters
We live in a world where attention shapes action. In this environment, communicators who can turn insight into story—and story into movement—are essential to the climate fight.
The Creative Climate Fellowship exists to support this work. We mentor and connect emerging climate communicators to real-world campaigns where they can grow their digital voice and contribute to broader movements.
The Image That Still Moves Us

The photo we’re sharing this Earth Day was captured by Krit Phromsaka Na Sakon Nakhon in September 2019, as youth strikers gathered in front of Thailand’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Even years later, it speaks volumes. About courage. About clarity. About what it means to show up for a livable future.
